CAREER POSITIONS

Ellison/Sizzix - Lake Forrest, Ca (Oct 2004 to Jan 2019) - Scrapbooking and Educational Supply Company

Title - Designer / Illustrator / Production Artist

Accomplishments – 

  • Established myself as lead designer at Ellison/Sizzix, Created frontline products for Ellison and it’s sister company Sizzix, including hundreds of stamp cuts, alphabets, rubber stamps and more. 

  • Slashed expenses by initiating and pioneering the full-time in-house designer position at Ellison, placing design in the hands of designers trained to Ellison/Sizzix design and brand parameters, and standardizing design specifications between R&D and Creative Dept across all mediums.

  • Proactively improved office relations, lowered costs and elevated design quality by training new artists to be creative within product design parameters across all mediums.

  • Moved Ellison/Sizzix into the digital age by working with R&D on the development of the eClips electric die cutter, and the coding of hundreds of eClips files for sale and download.

  • Eliminated over $1m in branding costs by creating Sizzix’s new corporate logo, a logo still used today. Also the original eClips logo. 

  • Easily and seamlessly worked remotely for Ellison/Sizzix from 2009 to 2019.

MOB Media, Foothill Ranch, Ca (June 2001 to April 2003) - Advertising and marketing agency
Title - Illustrator/Graphic Designer
Accomplishments – 

  • Hybrid technical and captivation skills worked well for MOB as I provided web and print visual assets for client pitches, ads, branding, company events, as well as radio ad writing, image processing and archiving and communication with clients regarding asset updates and progress.

Freelance Illustrator and Graphic Designer, Huntington Beach, Ca (May 1996 to present)
Accomplishments – 

  • Growing small and large businesses with branding assets for a variety of companies - creating clean and fast, and seldom revised, storyboards, UX and UI assets, magazine ads, web ads, radio spots and visual assets for client pitches.

  • Golden West College - Certified in Web Design. Currently working toward Adobe Associate Certification and UX Design degree.
