FAQ
Q. What graphics programs are you proficient in?
A. Illustrator and Photoshop for the last several years - in the past I was very proficient in InDesign, Dreamweaver, Quark (WAY back on that one) and have a certificate in web design. But it’s from 2006 - pretty much the Stone Age for web design. I wouldn’t contact me for building a site from the ground up - however for graphic elements for any site and/or theme mock ups, ideas, eye catchers, etc, you should really get in touch with me.
Q. Do you charge by the hour or by the piece?
A. By the hour. I start at $35 hr, but we can work it out if it’s a cause that I believe in. So, non-profits, do not let a lack of funds keep you from contacting me.
Q. How do I start the process of collaborating with you?
A. If you decide to use my services, simply send an email with contact info, description of your needs and the deadline, using the contact tools provided in the “Say Hey” section of this site. I’ll get back to you asap on whether or not the project fits with my current and recurring deadlines, and we can discuss the project from that point using the medium best suited for our communications.
Q. Are you easy to work with, or will collaborating with you constantly challenge my existence?
A. VERY easy to work with. I’ve never been disciplined at work, fired or let go. I still talk with friends that I worked alongside in the early 90’s - and others from high school and grade school.
Q. Do you work offsite exclusively or can I hire you to an onsite position?
A. If logistically possible, working onsite works out often.
Q. How will we exchange comps and materials during the collaboration process?
A. However you like - text, Skype, email, any secure third party file sharing cloud that you may already use, such as Hightail, Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive, etc. I use Hightail a lot.
Q. Are you a stick-in-the-mud masquerading as a creative, or do you have a sense of humor and enjoy good times?
A. I love friends and good times - always looking for more of both. I think the Loren Ipsum placeholder text said it best: “Vestibellum zeliss vapiux, tincidunt a enim et, hendrerit velnissium orpis. Aliquam hendrerit sem vitae laoreet condimentum”. In fact, I was velnissium orpis while others were still zeliss vapiux in `03 - they got it from me.
